Strike Develops Medical-Grade Trolley Solution for Queensland Health

Rubbermaid Commercial and Abco Pro partnered with Strike to revolutionise Queensland Health’s operations by delivering secure, lockable iPad 10 mounting solutions for their medical-grade trolleys and cleaning carts.

Project Overview:

Queensland Health required secure, lockable iPad 10 mounting solutions for their trolleys and cleaning carts. The project involved a partnership between Strike, Rubbermaid Commercial, and Abco Pro to develop and supply 45 units of customised mounts and cradles under tight deadlines.

The Challenges:

  1. Custom Design Needs:  Queensland Health required specific modifications, such as no integrated charging, to fit their operational protocols.

  2. Logistics and Production:  Strike's cradles are made to order, requiring precise coordination to meet delivery deadlines.

  3. Client Communication:  Addressing questions from multiple stakeholders while resolving technical and logistical enquiries.

Solutions Provided:

1. Customised Mounting Systems:
Flexible RAM arms (RAM-B-101U-C) and lockable iPad holders (AL-STKLLKH1A10.9) tailored to client specifications. Added optional locking knobs (RAP-S-KNOB3U) for enhanced security against tampering.

2. Iterative Communication:
Adjusted designs based on feedback and removed USB-C cables. Provided video demonstrations and real-time support to address technical queries.

Key Milestones:

  1. Initial Quote and Feedback:  Strike delivered a detailed quotation and responded to specific feedback on security features and cable requirements.

  2. Client Approval:  Following iterative adjustments, the client approved the final design and placed an order for 45 units.

  3. Delivery and Support:  Strike ensured timely delivery, provided bulk-packaged keys for ease of distribution, and expressed interest in follow-up feedback to refine the product for similar use cases.

The Results:

  1. Delivered 45 fully customised units to Queensland Health, meeting all operational requirements and deadlines.

  2. Strengthened partnerships with Rubbermaid Commercial and Abco Pro, demonstrating Strike’s adaptability and customer-centric approach.

  3. Opened opportunities for future collaborations through positive client experiences and proactive engagement.
